Regional Food Magazine

// where are you?

Regional Food started in 2007 when Mark Kelly, who I worked with at Murdoch Magazines while editing Australian MultiMedia magazine, had a year’s break after Matt Handbury sold off the magazine titles. Together with Jan, and with the help of John Borger and designer Christopher Waller we created something really special. While lots of people agreed, unfortunately, it didn’t sell well enough. Have a look at it in this Issuu version, where at least you get to turn the pages even if you can’t smell that nice glossy paper and ink. It was all self-published to a very high standard, and we reckon those skills could be of use to you if you need a print publication.

Our readers told us what they thought

“I’m in love with your magazine. It’s fresh, genuine, down-to-earth and satisfying. With content and readers totally in tune and going somewhere great. It has what it takes to really change and build things in this fabulous country of ours.” Jill Dupleix, food writer.

Sorry we didn’t deliver that Jill. We tried.

“Soooo good to have a food magazine that doesn’t think you have the attention-span of a gnat!” Belinda Jeffery. Food writer, cookbook author
“I read the issue like a book, cover to cover. It took me three mornings on the train going to work. I love it.” Jenny Morrison. Passionate reader

We could be back. It’s only money. Of course the Regional Food website continues to offer great regional content.
